IT WAS A MIRACLE

God is doing miracles every day. Some seen and some unseen. However, when a miracle happens to your friends and family it is especially meaningful. A very close friend of ours experienced God’s miracle working power. Steve, a successful businessman, beloved family man, and avid golfer, saw his faith tested when it was suddenly discovered that he had a stage-four tumor in his brain. You can imagine the shock it was to him and his family.

His wife Karan, stunned by the news, immediately began to pray. She called her tribe of warrior brides she was mentoring to immediate intercession. For months they all prayed to ask God to heal Steve and remove the tumor.

Karan prayed every day, “Steve will not die; instead, he will live to tell what the Lord has done.” (Ps 118:17 NLT)

I will not die but live, and will proclaim what the

Lord has done. Ps 118:17 NIV

This last week we received a praise report from Karan. Steve is healed!

She sent us pictures of Steve’s brain scan. The top left was taken in October. Then six weeks of radiation and six weeks of chemo resulted in the second scan in the middle taken in December. The tumor is shrinking. Then months and months of prayer resulted in the scan on the right taken on Wednesday.

The doctor was very surprised. Karan said he was shocked and tried to keep his composure. The doctor reported we are not looking at a tumor but most likely scar tissue where the tumor was. I can’t say this medically because I must follow the science but I think this is a miracle. God answered the prayers of Karan, the family, and all of those who continually interceded for Steve.

I don’t know what mountain you are facing, or the struggles you are having, but I want to encourage you that God cares about you. He is all-powerful and willing to do miracles in your life. Steve is a testimony of the healing power of God. He is the Lord-Who-Heals. (Ex 15:26)

Four things to remember when we are in need of a miracle.

  1. Don't be moved by the circumstances. Those things are not the reality in God's kingdom. The truth is what God has said in His Word.

  2. Believe what God has promised. There are thousands of scriptures in the Bible that declare the promises of God. There are many scriptures showing God’s willingness and promise to heal. God will respond to your faith. Pray without doubting (1 Tim 2:8)

  3. Don’t give up praying. “Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble, and keep on praying.” (Rom 12:12 NLT) “Pray without ceasing.” (1 The 5:17)

  4. Proclamation is powerful. Declaring out loud what God has said has creative supernatural power. So, proclaim the promises and statements of God.

I praise God for healing Steve. We WILL tell all the great things God has done for him. What miracles have your seen?
